Yummy Breakfast Burger

A normal meat burger contains easily 30 grams of protein. But this breakfast burger does too!

Yummy Breakfast Burger

“I cannot stand the smell and taste of eggs”, my follower Can said after I had finished my speech in Akasya. He wanted to know if there is a way to cook eggs so he cannot feel them. I promised him to come up with a recipe because I bet there is lots of moms who cannot convince their kids to eat eggs for the exact same reason. This protein burger is approved by my own children Zoe, Noah and Yasmin. Our 13 year old said that it cannot count as dessert but that it is a great breakfast. Fair enough, right. What I like most about this recipe is that I feed my kids eggs and beans (!) without them even noticing it.

You should really try this protein burger because it contains the 30 grams of protein that you need to become lean, meaning building up muscle while burning fat. I eat the full portion but of course it is going to be too much for a child to eat.

Here are the ingredients you need for the dough:
2 eggs + 1 egg white
1 ripe banana
30 grams wheat germ powder

And for the filling:
1 cup boiled white beans
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon sugar free cocoa powder
1 cup raspberries

Beat up the eggs and mash a ripe organic banana with a fork. Add 30 grams of wheat germ powder  and mix the ingredients together well. I discovered this powder and really love it because it tastes super good in my omelette too. It gives it a pancake like texture and keeps me full for much longer. I baked the “buns” in a teflon pan until golden on both sides.

For the filling, I boiled white beans, also called navy beans, until really soft. You will need one glass full but I boiled a bit more to toss it over my salad. Place the beans, honey and cocoa powder into the blender without adding any liquid. You will get a sort of chocolate paste that you can spread on your burger bun. Add the raspberries on top. I got mine frozen but of course fresh ones will taste even more delicious. Add the other bun on top and there you go, your protein burger is ready. Enjoy!
